For couples who care about ease on the wedding day, and photographs that feel extraordinary...

Composition and atmosphere are the through-line, the day’s natural pace does the rest. You’ll get artful portraits, paired with documentary coverage that stays unobtrusive while capturing what matters.

Ease is designed. It comes from taste, attention to detail, and knowing when to step in and when to disappear. I’ll direct what needs guidance and protect what should stay unforced. You’ll feel supported, without feeling managed or overproduced. The photographs come back cohesive and considered, with a kind of beauty that holds because it’s honest.

It’s not just about how your wedding looked, but how it felt to be inside of it.

This work is both an honor and the joy of my life.

The Experience

Here’s what it looks like to work together — a process designed to be thoughtful, straightforward, and rooted in trust.

1. Connect
Every story starts with a hello. Reach out with your date, venue, and a few details about your celebration. I’ll share full galleries and pricing, and if it feels like a good fit, we’ll set up a discovery call to connect.

2. Reserve
Where it gets real. Securing your date is simple: a signed contract and retainer. From there, we’ll begin shaping details like engagement sessions, if you’d like to include one.

3. Plan
I’ll help shape timelines and logistics so the photography flows naturally with your day. Whether through emails, calls, or a venue walk-through, I’ll make the process clear and effortless,  as involved or as light-touch as you need me to be. (I recommend working with an experienced planner to support the overall vision.)

4. Wedding Day
On the day itself, I’ll step in when direction is helpful and step back when the moment belongs to you. Couples often tell me they hardly noticed I was there — until they saw the photographs that captured everything from quiet glances to the moments everyone will remember. You can relax knowing the details, emotions, and atmosphere will all be preserved with care.

5. Gallery
Within 4–6 weeks, you’ll receive a fully edited online gallery to download, share, and print. Expect soulful, cinematic photographs, painterly portraits, unexpected details, and timeless moments woven into a story that will bring everything back for years to come.

From start to finish, my aim is to make the experience feel effortless, while creating work that is striking, personal, and lasting.

"What we could never expect was her ability to capture the feeling of a moment and the emotional impact of a place.

Well, where do we start when it comes to Teri. She is an absolute treasure – from our first time getting together for an engagement shoot, to receiving our pics just a few weeks after the wedding, we could not have imagined a better wedding photographer.
Teri is a true professional. She is responsive, articulate and prompt, and always has a clear plan for what she wants to do. The impressive thing was that even though she had such a clear vision, everything felt like a team decision, probably because of her kindness and joyful approach to her work.
Teri is an artist. We knew Teri’s pictures were beautiful from her website, but what we could never expect was her ability to capture the feeling of a moment and the emotional impact of a place. Looking back at our wedding pictures, we can feel what is was like to be in each moment at our venue – this is the priceless quality that you want when you get your wedding photos, and Teri nails it.
Teri is a true friend. Have I mentioned how nice she is? Working with Teri was like having a close friend at your wedding taking pictures – its actually difficult to imagine our day without her. And yet she somehow makes you feel just as special to her. We’ve kept in touch since our wedding a few months ago, and we plan to stay in contact for many years to come.

“Teri’s editorial eye and incredible ability to capture the true emotion of the day is unmatched.”

Where to begin! Teri is the wedding photographer of wedding photographers! Finding the right storyteller to document the best day of your life is no easy feat. Teri’s editorial eye and incredible ability to capture the true emotion of the day is incredible. We had a small off-beat wedding and knew we wanted 35mm film in addition to digital and Teri steered us in the right direction the entire way through. From helpful advice for the day of and tips for improving our run of show to ensuring that we got enough photos together so we would have all the elements to document the day (from the setting, to the crowd, to amazing candid shots of our friends and family that we will treasure forever). Teri made it happen and is so natural and experienced at her craft and photojournalism that on the actual day we hardly noticed her. Your wedding day will fly by. Having confidence that someone is capturing an authentic portrait so you can settle back into those moments for decades to come is potentially the most important piece of your wedding day. I can’t recommend Teri enough.

"I will cherish all of our photos forever."

Working with Teri was HANDS DOWN the best decision we made for our wedding!! She was incredibly professional, sweet, and made us feel completely at ease both on our wedding day and leading up to it. We searched high and low for an experienced photographer with an eye for art and unique storytelling capabilities, and fell in love with Teri’s work. Our photos speak for themselves…the way that she captured those moments makes it so that when I look at them, I can recall the exact emotion I felt. I received so many compliments on how stunning and magical they were. She was kind enough to do a film add-on which I am so glad we did! I’d also like to point out that on our wedding day, she was non-obtrusive and didn’t overtly draw attention to herself, but knew how to direct people with confidence. She took our family/bridal party portraits so efficiently, and they all turned out great and very natural. I will cherish all of our photos forever.

"She truly managed to encapsulate the joy and love of the big events and the small moments!"

Firstly, I just want to rave about how Teri is a fantastic photographer. We were lucky enough to have her document our wedding in the Loire Valley, France. And we could not be happier with her work! She is such a warm, friendly person who makes every picture feel organic and natural. Before our wedding, she communicated with us several times– getting to know us and discussing details. She is so personable and easy to plan with!

During our wedding, she made us– as well as all our dear ones– feel so comfortable. Her photojournalistic style really captured the special moments, emotions, and beauty of the venue in an authentic and pure way. She truly managed to encapsulate the joy and love of the big events and the small moments!

As ours was a more intimate wedding, our loved ones enjoyed getting involved in everything– Teri indulged my younger brother with his request to take a picture or two with his disposable camera and allowed one of cousins to shadow her and take pictures. She ate dinner at my family’s table and still managed to capture some of my favorite shots of the evening, despite, I’m sure, my family talking her ears off! The energy of the day was intense and full of excitement, and Teri was indefatigable.

When we showed people our “sneaks” before the full album, everyone was blown away.

Teri is truly an exceptional photographer.

Elyse & Peter, Los Angeles

“She isn’t just a photographer; she’s a director, an artist, a friend.”

Teri flew around our wedding like an angel. She got so much coverage, and was just as lovely directing our friends and family as she was us. It’s easy to see how skilled she is–a true professional. We had several guests come up to us that day just to rave about Teri!

She indulged us in a little field trip, just the three of us, during cocktail hour. We drove to a couple spots Peter and I had scouted around DTLA and took some amazing shots. I was a little nervous for two reasons: one, I’ve had a lot of photos taken of me over the years and I almost always find something I don’t like about them, and two: Peter just doesn’t love being in front of a camera. But shooting with Teri felt so fun, collaborative, and again, easy. She isn’t just a photographer; she’s a director, an artist, a friend. She really knows how to put people at ease, communicate her vision, then deliver it.

Because boy, did she deliver! Our wedding was on a Saturday, and Sunday night Teri sent us a sneak peak. I was speechless. I couldn’t believe we got to be the subjects of such stunning photos! It felt like being on the cover of a magazine or romance novel or something.

We received the rest of the photos about a month later. There were so many, and they were all so beautiful. She really captured not only us, but the overall feeling of that day—jubilant and brimming with love.

Teri was everywhere at once; she caught the hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie boards I never saw, the guests I didn’t have enough time to talk to, as well as the most intimate moments between my new husband and I. She sealed in amber one of the best days of my life, and we will forever cherish the photos she took for us.

"Her style is so realistic and artistic we feel all her photos could be found in an art gallery."

Teri is an absolute dream! She made us feel so comfortable during both our engagement and wedding shoots. She is such a delight to be around and so clearly loves her job – she makes these shoots a fun and memorable part of the entire wedding process. Not only does she know what looks you need, but she enhances the traditional shots by coming up with unexpected angles and set-ups and experiments with light and lenses. How she plays with color and black & white is also truly astounding; her style is so realistic and artistic we feel all her photos (first looks, portraits and candids alike), could be found in an art gallery. We genuinely could not be happier with the array of photos we got from both shoots. Teri is the reason we will be able to look back at our wedding and remember all the details that were a blur at the time. Through her photos, we can re-live the small moments and memories we created, which she captured with her camera. We could not recommend her more and cannot wait for future Anniversary shoots!

"Teri produces photos that are nostalgic yet vivid"

Teri photographed our engagement session, wedding ceremony, reception, and two pre-wedding events, and we couldn’t be happier with the results!

We first learned about her when she shot our friends’ wedding, and we were immediately drawn to her unique artistic style. Teri produces photos that are nostalgic yet vivid. Her eye for interesting compositions gave us some of our favorite shots — we will cherish these forever.

Working with her was an absolute delight. Teri made us feel at ease in front of the camera. Neither of us felt very comfortable posing for photos, but Teri’s friendly, gentle approach put us completely at ease. During the full swing of the wedding, she got along amazingly with all of the guests, and she was extremely gracious as they pulled her in all different directions to have their photos taken on a 105 degree day. She brought two additional shooters for the wedding day, and her entire team was just as talented as her.

We cannot recommend Teri enough!

Siena & Kip, Calistoga

"She managed to capture our goofiness while creating art, and that is pure magic."

Teri was the first vendor we booked for our wedding and it was the best decision we made. . We still gasp with amazement and squeal with delight each time we look through our album. We are so glad that we trusted her to appreciate and capture the most meaningful day of our lives. The best part was that Teri feels like a true friend and she fit right in with our loved ones throughout the weekend. She also made sure we ate, didn’t miss the best light for photos, and even saved us dessert when we got carried away on the dance floor. If that isn’t wing man/fairy godmother energy, I don’t know what is. If you want to have stunning photos that are gallery-worthy and also incredibly honest & fun AND you want to work with a photographer who genuinely cares about – and supports – you as a couple, hire Teri as fast as you can.

"...her work stands out as the best we’ve ever seen."

Teri B. is hands down the most creative and talented photographer we could have asked for. She has an incredible eye for detail and came up with such unique and stunning ideas for poses that elevated our wedding photos. Her thoughtfulness and ability to make us feel comfortable allowed her to capture the most genuine, emotional moments of our day. Every photo felt like a work of art, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft. She’s not just a photographer—she’s a true artist, and her work stands out as the best we’ve ever seen. Above all, she’s a great person with calm energy and truly wonderful to work with. Choosing her was the easiest and best decision we made for our wedding, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly!

FAQ's
Which destinations do you travel to for weddings?

I photograph weddings and elopements all over the world. My work has taken me from France, the UK, Iceland, and New Zealand to Hawaii and Mexico, along with many celebrated destinations across the U.S. Travel is second nature in my work, and I bring the same dedication no matter the location.

What is your photography style?

My work lives between composition and instinct. I’m drawn to light, space, and atmosphere, shaping scenes with care while allowing moments to remain natural, candid, and unforced. I’ll guide gently when it serves the image, and step back when it doesn’t.

Couples often describe my style as moody, editorial, documentary, painterly, cinematic, and romantic. Those words feel true because the work is both intentional and human — atmospheric yet grounded, refined yet alive — rooted in how the day felt to experience, not just how it appeared.

Do you offer film photography?

Yes,  film is an essential part of my work. All of my personal projects are photographed on film, and I’m known for incorporating it into weddings alongside digital coverage. Film has a tactile, timeless quality that’s impossible to replicate, and many couples choose me for exactly that reason.

You can learn more about my approach on my dedicated Film Wedding Photography page. If you’re interested on weddings shot entirely on Analog, have a peek here.

When should we book you, and what does that require?

If your wedding falls on a Saturday or holiday weekend, I recommend booking at least a year in advance. I shoot weddings year round but my busiest months are always May, June, August, September and October. For weekday or off-season celebrations, I may have more flexibility. To reserve your date, I require a signed contract and a retainer.

What cameras do you use?

My gear rotates from time to time, but you’ll almost always find me with my Leica M11-P and Leica MP, paired with a variety of vintage & modern lenses. I also bring along a Canon R6ii to complement my Leica system, and I love incorporating different film cameras into the work too. I sometimes use flash during receptions, but I avoid big lighting setups, my approach is to stay unobtrusive 🙂

Do you bring a second photographer?

For most weddings, I shoot solo. But for larger celebrations, multi-day events, or when film is the primary format, I recommend adding a second photographer. This ensures we capture the full scope of your day from multiple perspectives.

How many images will we receive?

For a full wedding day (8 hours of coverage), you can expect at least 700 final images. All photographs are carefully edited and delivered in an online gallery you can download, share, and print.

Do you edit your images? What is your turnaround time?

Every single image you receive is delivered just as I intend it to be with color, cropping and exposure. This includes photos from any second shooter so your collection will feel consistent and seamless from start to finish. Film is lightly touched up as well. My turnaround time is usually 4-6 weeks, depending on time of year.

We are really camera shy- help!

That’s completely okay and very common. My approach isn’t about constant posing or being “on” for the camera. I’ll offer clear, gentle direction to create a strong foundation, then give you space to move, settle, and be yourselves within it. Nothing is rushed or performative.

Most couples are surprised by how natural it feels. You don’t need to know what to do — that’s my job. An engagement session can also be a helpful way to experience this rhythm ahead of the wedding day and build confidence in the process.

Is it true you were Zooey Deschanel's stand in on New Girl?

Yes, it’s true! I stood in and did some photo-doubling for ‘Jess’ for almost five years. The loft was my second home and I actually built this business during filming.
