I am a girl of simple pleasures. I love the outdoors, fall weather and crops of corn. When I was given the opportunity to capture Noah + Jodi’s fall Wedding in the heartland of Iowa, I couldn’t resist.
When I first spoke with them, they told me about how their story started with a ‘no’. Noah had asked for Jodi’s number after the two met at a concert. When Jodi realized he had friended some of her other friends on snapchat she found herself a bit jealous. She gave the guy a chance.
Fast forward to a few weeks ago. They gathered their family and friends at the Franklin Convention Center in Hampton, Iowa where Jodi grew up going to the fair.
Getting ready with the girls took place in the old church followed by a quick drive to a nearby lake where we did a first look. The ceremony was outdoors along the old main street of the fairgrounds, fully adorned in autumn decor. Later, the guests stayed warm later indoors for their reception with dinner and dancing. The grande finale was a sparkler sendoff back where the day began at the church.
It comes as no surprise that my favorite part of the day was our time in the cornfield across the street. I give them huge props for being fully on board with walking through the rows of very tall and very dry stalks of corn..
This day was a dream to shoot. Jodi + Noah have so much fun together + were up for all of our adventures. Congratulations guys!! Here are some of my favs…
