Photos have always been an integral part of my life. When I was young I would make scrapbooks and cut and tape images all over my room. I loved looking at the photos, remembering the moments and reliving the memories that they captured.
In a world of digital, I still cherish what is tangible today.
Recently, I was introduced to a company called Picture Plays. They provide luxury, exhibit grade gallery walls made so, so easy.
Fred, the mastermind behind it all, has spent 18 years in the framing business. He owned ten framing stores in San Francisco and noticed a constant demand for gallery walls, also recognizing how tedious the process was for his clients. He sought to simplify the process and did just that with Picture Plays.
I was given the chance to see how it all works and was really blown away. I’ve done prints and frames from companies over the years but no one has made it as easy as Fred – it actually felt like playing!
The ordering process online walks you through exactly what your gallery wall will look like. They offer different layouts to pick from and show you in real-time what the finished gallery will look like. They have options for just a smaller four-piece sets, like what I got, or larger, all the way up to fourteen piece galleries. Placing the photos into the site is a brilliant way of visualizing it on your wall.
The shipping was fairly quick and the packaging is thoughtful. Each piece arrived safely and in perfect shape.
I have to mention how particular I am how my images are printed. The tones must be rich, I like a matte finish + really look for a product that can stand the test of time.
I could not believe the quality of these pieces.
These frames are acid free/ exhibit grade with double thick mats and foam core backed. The wood was sleek + beautiful. Opening these boxes I was in shock each time. This product was beyond my wildest dreams.
For the quality, the price is unlike anything that’s available in the market. You can get a three piece set for around $150 and some larger piece packages for around $300. No more cheap frames, printing images and putting them in yourself, or spending hours trying to maneuver nails + hooks. This is as easy as it gets.
I couldn’t be happier to be partnering with Picture Plays.
