Simple ways to Include your Pet in your Wedding Day

Tips, Tricks + Ideas

If you’re like me, pets are a part of your life.

Growing up, my dog Laci was one of my first photo subjects. My current pup, Indiana has followed me on many adventures throughout his life [after all, his name practically calls for adventure]

Over the past few years I have seen brides + grooms include pups in their engagement sessions + wedding days. Several venues are becoming more open to this and you kind of have to admit that sharing the day with your pet is maybe the coolest thing.

A few thoughts in favor of including your pets:

Pets can make you feel at ease + calm wedding day jitters

Pets are actually allowed at many venues [including the 1909, Deer Park Villa + the Corinthian Grand Ballroom]

Pets can dress the part with a bow or bowtie

Pets make a first look even cuter

Pets do the weirdest things and those moments should be captured

Pets make little ones feel comfortable

Pets make great companions for walking down the aisle

Your pet is an important part of this chapter.

I leave you with some images of pups that tagged along for engagement and wedding sessions. I also had a couple of images featured on Green Wedding Shoes if you care to peek at a few more.
