some wedding color schemes make my heart go all a flutter.
twas the case with this beautiful day at the 1909 in topanga canyon celebrating annie + mike.
the day began with a traditional vietnamese tea ceremony in which the grooms family filed in to the family quarters of the bride bearing gifts + smiles. annie was introduced by her mother who gave her hand and blessing to the groom before serving the honored family + guests tea. the colors were a spectacle in themselves.
the guests, including the bride and groom changed into traditional western wear + the first look with their pup mango commenced in the forest. who doesn’t love some puppy company on a wedding day?
ceremony took place on the deck under the early spring sunshine, the arc was covered in linen + painted with bright florals in orange, purples, pinks + just the right pops of green. all filled the deck, mango the dog included as he was the bearer of the rings.
the garden cocktail hour + dinner followed with string lights illuminating tables of simple but elegant florals in a variety of vases. everyone headed upstairs to be serenaded by the bride + groom who opted for a first song in leu of a first dance.
the day was dreamy in more ways than i can mention. can’t think of a better way to kick off my season
special thanks to daniel v for being a excellent second shooter + the coordinating genius of elise roberts
