do things that scare you.

true, i won’t be first in line for jumping out of a plane, or being chased by bulls in the streets of spain + i’ll probably have to do careful investigations before cliff diving. over the holidays i had a unique opportunity to take a helicopter tour of chicago with my boyfriends helicopter pilot bother, billy. i did it [+ survived!]

it is said that jealousy is hate + love at the same time. i was experiencing whatever fear + excitement at the same time is.

we headed downtown on a particularly chilly morning in the windy city but conditions were good to fly.

the light off the ground was the scariest. matched with moments circling the sears tower when i stopped to take in my surroundings. looks to the side + out into the sky got the best of my head as i squeezed dan’s knee a little tighter.

the views were remarkable, even for a gloomy day. our fearless pilot carried us high as we pointed out all the recognizable sites including the ribbon, buckingham fountain, the stadium, navy pier, canal street, sky-scrapper after sky-scrapper.

scary? yes.

amazing? you better believe it.
