California girl moves to Chicago. Meets boy. Falls in love. History.
Since most of the family still resides in California, this happy go lucky pair opted for a Destination Wedding in Half Moon Bay. It was so fun to actually meet MaryKate in the morning since we both agreed it was similar to engaging in a long distance relationship for the past year!
Getting ready took place at one of the suites at the Oceano Resort and Spa, right in the marina. The bride shared a beautiful first look with her dad before they hopped in a limousine to the church, Our lady of the Pillar. MaryKate and JJ saw each other for the first time at the aisle and it was electric throughout the church. I love the reaction of her father giving her away. Such a pair, it was difficult to find a moment where they weren’t smiling at each other. Dinner reception followed in the garden terrace at the Oceano. A classy, back tie affair through + through. I took the bridal party just to the Marina across the street for some group shots and enjoyed a quick stroll with the newlyweds. Being by the sea always fuels me and even more so capturing this beautiful couple.
