Victoria and Frank are awesome people. We met over video chat and quickly discussed our mutual love for world travel. Since Frank is from the Netherlands they had a number of ceremonies for their friends and family all over the world. They kicked it off with a ceremony at the San Francisco Courthouse, then a winter wedding at the groom’s home in Amsterdam + finally on this day in Sebastopol for their vow ceremony.
Guests flew in from, quite literally, all over the world to celebrate at the industrial yet charming Barlow Event space in the heart of wine country. Victoria and Frank did a traditional tea ceremony in the early afternoon, followed by getting ready for their western part of the day’s festivities. All of the flowers were put together by the bride and her sisters along with the cute details in the cocktail hour space + reception site. The takeaway gifts were homemade limoncello from the bride and groom. The couples dogs were an important part of the day for the bride and were dressed for the occasion, Sofie in a handmade tutu + Cham-Gae stunning in a bowtie. A very sweet first look took place on a bridge in the forest and the ceremony, officiated by a friend took place on the grounds by the famous tree at The Barlow with dinner + dancing into the night.
The Barlow no longer does weddings but I put together a curated list of Bay Area Wedding Venues that are cool and operational. [Updated 2021]
