Frequently Asked Questions
What is your Photography style?
My style is a Photo-Journalistic approach with a dash of artistic flare. The majority of my shots are captured in the moment. There are some posed shots during the day including family shots + lite direction on my part but my focus is on capturing the day as I see it.
I'm very camera shy, will that be a problem?
I work with lots of couples who feel a little nervous about being in front of a camera. The best way thing I can recommend is to do an engagement session. We get to hang, visit a cool place + help you guys get comfortable. Come wedding time, you are pros. BAM.
Where are you located?
I shoot all over California with no additional travel fees. I shoot all over the US and often create special quotes. I also shoot a couple times a year in Europe, mainly in France + England. Feel free to contact me, I may not be as expensive as you think.
How many images will I get?
Photographing an eight hour day I will shoot 2500+ photos. From there I hand curate your gallery down to about 750-850 images. I edit every single image so its just right.
I really am interested in booking you to shoot my wedding, what are the next steps?
Awesome news! First thing would be to send me a note either on my contact page or at firstname.lastname@example.org
From here we will set up a phone or coffee date to chat further. I require a 1/3 deposit for all weddings to hold the date in my calendar.
Do you ever use a second shooter?
I work with a couple great second shooters in both Los Angeles + the Bay Area. If you have over 130 guests I do recommend having a second. Most weddings I shoot alone, it really depends on what you are looking for in your coverage.
What camera do you shoot with?
I use a Leica m240 [#lillytheleica] + Canon 5dmarkiii with several lens for each to help me get just the right looks throughout the day.
portraits + lifestyle sessions
Maybe it's the whole family, maybe it's a new family member, maybe it's a new portfolio for your business deck or to celebrate a milestone or to capture time spent on a vacation. Portrait sessions are a good time. Documenting life is a necessity and I am to capture it just right in a fun + relaxed setting. This could take place out in the world, exploring a new place or right in your own home. Once we book I am here to help with what to wear and when + where to shoot. Portraits are some of my favorite shoots and it would be real rad to work together.
