Arguably, the best thing about being a Wedding Photographer is the special bonds I form with my couples.
This post is an excellent example. I met Mackenzie + Alex for their engagement session on a chilly winter morning in Muir Woods with their hairy son, Wally. Some months passed + I got to shoot their dream wedding at the same college where they met on the first day of school.
Forward to a year later, their one year anniversary is here + we both find ourselves in London. Naturally we make this session happen.
It was strange and also so wonderful to be reunited across the pond. They had plenty of stories to share about studying abroad in the same Kensington neighborhood. It was fun to listen and watch their eyes light up remembering their old college days in this charming city. We walked through a very crowded Hyde Park, full of bank holiday relaxers + cheery folk trying to cool off from the unusual summer heat.
We topped of the afternoon 'royally' with a pub stop that included Harry Potter jokes + wedding stories before they jetted off to Ireland the next day.
I probably wrote too much but they are great, I love keeping up with my couples and, even moreso, continuing to capture new chapters of their lives.
Happy Anniversary, my friends!
