Rainy day play down in San Pedro kicking off my 2019. I’ve seen rain before shooting a similar spring wedding in Berkeley but it was unusual to have a truly rainy day here in Southern California.
These two make me smile. I connected with Jessica on the phone a few weeks earlier getting to know their story and how they met being Ballroom Dance Instructors. They were actually paired as partners, which made it forbidden for them to date. It wasn’t long before God spoke to Jessica, telling her Eugene was going to be her husband. I got goosebumps too.

The rain let up just long enough for us
The ceremony was under a giant tree, tented just in case. My favorite moment was the communion the couple shared privately, up in front of their bridal party and seated guests. The stood in front of the unity candle lit by both of their mothers and prayed for one another and this union.
The reception followed at Rafaello down the street with speeches, dancing
