Carly + Mike had an elegant dream-worthy destination wedding in their old home of Fallbrook, California at the Golf Club of America. This day including lush colors, hints of moroccan flair and all the feels.
Getting ready was at a nearby ranch house with lovely bay windows and the venue itself was as close to feeling like the French Riviera as you can get in Southern California.
Perhaps it comes from my inverted nature, when I’m shooting a wedding some of my favorite moments are the quietest ones. The secret smile shared with a friend, an embrace of a father and daughter or a groom looking at his bride in disbelief when no one else is around. I always feel lucky to get to capture these tiny moments. This day had all of those.
In addition to all the greats of this day, the bride and groom adventured into a semi wooded cove and agreed to play in leaves. They trusted all my crazy ideas for their portraits and we created some pretty neat photos. Also, the bride and her dad broke out into a surprise Bruno Mars dance, the flower girls were darling + she had a pomegranate in her bouquet.
They are cool. This day was so cool. Here are some of my favorites.
