this was one hell of a party.
these two are a free-spirited duo who are happiest dancing the night [+day] away.
jo was a bridesmaid in a wedding i shot earlier this spring at the barlow. i was thrilled when she allowed me to shoot her carefree, lightly lousiana themed gathering in san francisco.
getting ready + first look took place at the bride + grooms home in the city, featuring a beautiful balcony with a breathtaking view of the golden gate bridge. we continued + did some urban street portraits + bridal party shots before heading to the queen wilhelmina tulip garden.
the ceremony took place under a chuppah adorned with bright orange and red carnations. dear ones + golden gate park passerby-ers watched as jo + billy read their vows to one another. afterwards a trolley took the newlyweds + wedding guests to the redwood scattered stern grove where a live brass band welcomed the guests into the old yellow house for some cocktails, a bbq lunch + an afternoon of dancing into the woods to ‘as the saints go marching in’. my favorite part of the day was the couples first dance to the acoustic version of justin beiber’s ‘what do you mean’. it really doesn’t get much better. cheers you guys!
oh, and have a look:
