sam + adam: two cuties + their romantic outdoor wedding at the 1909 in malibu canyon

Weddings & Engagement
July 9, 2017

adam and sam fell in love on a summer nite so having a summer wedding outdoors, in the woods with all their dearest loved ones, just made sense. they wanted to create an ambience that was classic + beautiful yet comfortable + fun.

the celebration was hosted at the 1909 in topanga canyon with all in attendance with the exception of their sweet canine, clementine.

getting ready was bustling with girls in matching robes running around and making sure everything was just right. adam had inscribed a tiny note on the inside of sams tag which was a sweet surprise before she put on her dress. girls were dressed in shades of pastel pinks accompanied by bouquets in green, white, pinks + just the right pop of maroon. guys were in dark tuxes with red ties. sam + adam opted for a first look to save some time in the day, followed by family shots + the signing of the handmade ketubah. sun shined through the trees during the outdoor ceremony as guests watched the two exchange vows in the nature retreat. cocktails, dinner + speeches commenced in the bottom lawn on long tables decorated in lush greens illuminated by market lights from above. we did some portraits together at the ceremony space and in the woods, where a wet willie contest may or may not have gone down. everyone headed upstairs for sweets + fun + dancing the night away.

this couple has a certain fun-loving nature about them. something you can’t quite put your finger on but is admired all the same. the thing we all look for.

it is a beautiful love

it was a beautiful day.

Jamie + Richard: Vintage Feeling Soiree at the Historic Castle Green in Pasadena, CA
Historical places are typically filled with mementos from the past, a sense of a different era + lovely beyond compare. All was the case with this location and this couple for their wedding at Castle Green in Pasadena. Jamie + Richard have been in it for the long haul with ten years under their belts already. I loved the ease they gave to one another even from our first meeting. They are two people that mesh. They both have a very artsy + unique view on life which I love. Jamie's light purple locks got me + shined during this day as she carried this classic old Hollywood-like elegance throughout the day. I loved how she contrasted with ...

I connected with Lilia right away when in her first message she mentioned her affection for Paris and the time she lived there- I knew this would be a gal with great taste! Her and her hubby Robert wed at an outdoor ceremony at The Barlow in Sebastopol, California. Getting ready was at a vacation rental nearby in Sonoma County with a darling gardens around the property. The ceremony took place outdoors in front of a gorgeous tree where friends and family gathered on this fall day that borrowed weather from summer. The theme of the day was "Love is in The Air' and they featured light hints of hot air balloons and whimsical paper details thr ...
