bin + huy: love + the aloha spirit in full force: destination wedding at halekulani resort in oahu, hawaii

bin + huy are foodies, kids at heart + a couple full of aloha spirit.

remember i shot huy’s proposal at the getty museum after a harry potter scavenger hunt?

it was such a treat to accompany these two to the island to capture their beautiful ceremony out on the terrace at the Halekulani Resort on Wakiki Beach in Oahu.

This Destination Wedding was a gathering of friends + family who traveled, mainly from California, to celebrate in Hawaiian style complete with leis, flowers in hair, a ukulele player for light island tunes, a proper conch (shell) blowing,  island eats + cookies from the aloha cookie company as takeaway gifts. there handwritten vows were one of the most memorable events of the day along with the cutout of Charlie, the grooms dog, waiting ‘patiently’ by the best man.

for the bride and groom it was important for their guests to enjoy the island and culture as much as they do during their wedding weekend. accomplished, high-five it + check out this gorgeous day:

nick + rachel: an enchanting day of their own making at the barlow, sebastopol, ca
Some people are visionaries by nature. This is certainly true of ultra aesthetic bride Rachel + her kind spirited groom, Nick, who planned their eclectic + stylish day at The Barlow in Sebastopol. This is the third wedding I've shot at the Barlow (Jade + Andy, Lillia + Robert) and this bride really took off with her vision as far as creating a space where dear ones felt welcomed in and also could feel surrounded by her bold artistic influence. The tables where adorned in geometric shapes, succulent variations + potted plants. I loved the subtle details of silverware in different shades + the tables numbers marked on tile pieces. She als ...
