Film Diaries: Golden Gate + Alcatraz
San Francisco is a great city to kill some time in. Fortunately, our schedule allows this pretty often which we are beyond grateful for. There's nothing better than getting lost on a cloudy day in search of a pastry treat and a warm cup of chai (the coconut kind of course). After our session at the Ghirardelli Square we stopped at the mini Le Marias Bakery for a snack. Felt right at home with the decorated Paris montage along the wall. This free time was spent strolling Marina Boulevard on the better part of the Saturday mid-morning. [I was sick the whole time in] Hong Kong
This city was a struggle for me. After two and a half weeks in mainland China I caught some kind of stomach bug during our very last couple days in Hong Kong. It was challenging. Highlights: Most people know English. Signs and businesses cater to English speakers. They were under British rule for nearly 150 years and you can feel it. I was sick so we were forced to everything in a half day which still was pretty great. Some parts are like a ghost town. Mystic Manor. Things a ...

Monument Valley + Ominous Skies: Utah
Utah is amazing. This was my first visit ever in the state. We picked Monument Valley since it seems off the beaten path and there were several movies filmed there- which I always geek out over. The clouds were dark with mystery, mesmerizing. The roads were pretty empt y and we had a lot of free reign around the area. The field of horses still gives me chills, having them stand in the open against the clouds and formations of red rocks was majestic. We did some climbing to find the perfect spot of the mountains without going into the park. I will have something to come back for and how wonderful! I take a lot of photos of my dog, Indian ...
