i love MANY things about paris. summer strolls along the seine, macarons in pastels, afternoons waltzing through passage ways, stormy days where rain washes the cobblestone streets and, of course, my favorite bridge pont de bir-hakeim.
as i was taking the long way home + riding my bike down the seine after a shoot I came across this beauty — on complete accident. i knew about it + had seen several photos. it was actually in one of my favorite movies, inception. it wasn’t until we came face to face that i fell completely in love.
it’s such a wonder in an already wonderful city. the sleepy pedestrian bridge quietly connects the 16th + 15th arrondissements with striking views of the eiffel tower + the metro rolling across it every few minutes.
it somehow captures a chicago-like style with bits reminiscent of brooklyn all wrapped in everything we love about parisian haussmann architecture.
it’s really the perfect bridge. see for yourself:
photos from my first visit in summer 2015 + then a sunrise shoot, because i believe in those.
